Take our virtual guided tour of Horcajo de la Sierra and Aoslos

Welcome

Horcajo de la Sierra is a small village located in the north of the autonomous community of Madrid, in a mountainous region known as the Sierra Norte. It lies at the foot of the Somosierra massif, on a small hill named Los Altillos at an altitude of 1,066m, although the highest point in its locality, at 1.834m, is the Cebollera Nueva peak. Horcajo de la sierra is surrounded by the Herra and the Haces brooks, which meet with the Arroyo del Valle stream and the Madarquillos river. Its adjacent municipalities are Robregordo, Horcajuelo, Madarcos, Piñuecar and La Acebeda.

Aoslos

In Horcajo de la Sierra's locality we can find two separate urban aggregations, the already mentioned Horcajo de la Sierra, which gives its name to the municipality, and Aoslos. Aoslos lies at roughly 3km from Horcajo, in a plain surrounded by fields where ash and oak trees and orchards abound.
